Scope of responsibilities
  • Preparing equipment lists and datasheets.
  • Equipment and line sizing.
  • Generating mass and heat balance calculations.
  • Generating equipment and instrument datasheets.
  • Generating of PFDs, P&IDs, and other process schematics.
  • PSV calculations and preparation of PSV datasheets.
  • HYSYS Simulation for Process Modelling.
  • FLARENET and FLARESIM Modelling.
  • Heat Exchanger specification and modelling.
  • Input to HAZOP and other safety related studies.
  • Participating in client and vendor clarification meetings.
  • Vendor technical bid evaluation and support.
  • Preparing quotations, including cost to build estimates and quotation documents.
  • Submitting fixed and budget proposals to clients.
  • Offshore commissioning of process equipment/packages.
  • Other duties as required.

Secondary Duties

  • Support of Lead and Senior Process Engineers in project tasks.
  • Production of process deliverables, as defined in scope of responsibilities, or as required by Lead Engineer. 
  • Preparation of all deliverables to a high professional standard, in compliance with DPS quality systems, and industry best practice.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Chemical and/or Process Engineering.
Experience & Competency
  • Experience in a similar oil, gas or petrochemical role. Previous experience preferable.
  • Basic understanding and interpretation of P&IDs and PFDs.
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply that learning to new projects. In particular application of HYSYS, and other simulation software.
  • Basic competence required in all Excel, Word, and other commonly used Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in written reports.
