Concept to installation conversion of a drilling jack up rig to 20,000bpd crude production unit incorporating crude degassing and export, water treatment and power generation, exporting crude oil 33km via a subsea line to an existing FPSO. DPS were awarded an EPC contract for the process topsides of this jack-up rig, built in the US for operation offshore Angola. Contract was won after proposing an economically viable solution (where others had failed), when the oil price was significantly lower than it is today.
